Brooklyn-based SAG/AEA Performer

Greetings! My name is Jennifer and I am an actor, dancer and teaching artist based in Brooklyn. I have also newly explored producing, directing and screenwriting.

With my background in studying psychology and theater at Barnard College and my conservatory training at the Moscow Art Theatre School, marinated with my experience in contemporary theater training techniques including Suzuki and Viewpoints and more Meisner-based approaches, I draw on a plethora of tools in my work.

My additional dance background of over 15 years of training has focused on classic jazz, modern and ballet and included many far-ranging styles from tango to tap. I am also a 200 hour certified Vinyasa yoga teacher, trained in kickboxing and stage combat, and enjoy teaching movement to diverse ages and populations. My deep movement training translates to a heightened visceral awareness and presence across my work.

In my acting roles, I am a time-traveler of sorts, most connecting with period pieces or characters possessing an otherworldly quality or inhabiting otherworldly realms. My theater work has focused on classical pieces, including devised adaptations of literature by Dostoyevsky and Rousseau, as well as mythological, sci-fi and poetic fantasia. In my film collaborations, I have enjoyed the immersive and creative process of working with legendary and emerging auteurs.

Keep an eye out for my upcoming work—a supporting role in Paul Schrader's upcoming The Basics of Philosophy, a starring role in a docu-fiction short film "Flowers that Bloom During the War" from writer-director Olesia Tymoshenko and a supporting role in an action-thriller short "Heart Attack”.

Check out Hal Hartley's Where to Land- featured in MoMA’s The Contenders 2025 series and awarded the Best Film Grand Jury Prize at the Lisbon International Film Festival (LEFFEST)!

And see me performing with Ukrainian Village Voices!
